University fields of excellence and of Mediterranean interest

The pilot program for mobility of students and young professionals is to be implemented within the framework of university fields of excellence and of Mediterranean interest :
- Identified by both the North and the South of the Mediterranean as excelling in their ability to build the skills of tomorrow (Recommendations from the Paris ministerial seminar – 14 December 2009);
- That correspond to skills-related needs in the main countries of origin, by taking into account the labour market situation and employment opportunities in the sectors concerned (Summary of the Tangier conference of experts – 29 and 30 April 2010).
Making use of these courses to implement the “initial training” and “professional integration” aspects of the project, the goal is to try to mobilise the skills and expertise of students who are part of the project to put them to work on behalf of their country of origin.
